3 strong, simple evidences for God
“The heavens declare the glory of God,” wrote the psalmist (Psalm 19:1). God’s invisible qualities have been clearly seen, “being understood from what has been made” (Romans 1:20), according to the New Testament. The heavens and what has been made tell us quite a bit about God, namely that he exists and what he is like. Here are three simple yet strong evidences for God.
The universe had a beginning. It is not eternal. It was caused by something or someone outside itself.
Life had a beginning. The causes of the first life do not seem to be naturalistic. Naturalistic explanations for the origin of life do not explain the presence of precise, efficient coding in DNA. It was caused by something or someone outside of the naturalistic order of things.
The universe and life are exquisitely, meticulously designed, reflecting the character of the designer as someone super-powerful, super-intelligent, and super-caring.
The biblical God matches the profile we see in nature. What has been made—nature—points strongly to the biblical God.
My book, Is Jesus Real?, expounds on these three arguments.
